The Maths Behind a Candlelit Aisle
A standard taper candle burns at roughly 2.5cm an hour. It sounds like a small fact. It isn't.
If your ceremony overruns - and most do, by at least fifteen minutes - your candlelit aisle won't necessarily survive to see your photographs, let alone speeches. Candle height, diameter, and burn rate all need to be matched against your actual timeline.
We build burn time into the run sheet itself: which sizes go where, how many are needed for the duration of the day, and at what point they're lit. It's the difference between an aisle that's still glowing for your final photographs and one that's quietly gone out an hour before anyone notices.
It's a small, unglamorous calculation. But it's the kind of detail that separates styling that looks good in the morning brief from styling that actually holds up by 9pm.
